Incorporation of Journal Policies
These Terms should be read together with the Journal's applicable policies, including, where relevant:
- Guidelines/Instructions for Authors;
- Publication Ethics and Misconduct Policy;
- Peer Review Policy;

Where a specific policy applies to a particular activity, such as manuscript submission, peer review, publication, copyright or licensing, that specific policy shall supplement these Terms.
For published articles, the copyright and licensing statement displayed with the individual article or its version of record shall govern the permitted reuse of that article.
Eligibility and Account Registration
Certain Services may require users to create an account.
Users must provide accurate, current and complete information during registration and must update such information when reasonably necessary.
Users are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of their usernames, passwords and other account credentials and for activities undertaken through their accounts.
Users must not:
- impersonate another individual or organisation;
- create an account using false or misleading information;
- share credentials in a manner that compromises the security or integrity of the Journal's systems;
- obtain unauthorised access to another person's account; or
- use an account for fraudulent, unlawful or unethical purposes.
The Journal may suspend or restrict an account where reasonably necessary to protect the integrity, security or lawful operation of the Website or editorial process.
Manuscript Submission
Submission of a manuscript to IJAMPH constitutes a request for editorial consideration and does not guarantee peer review, acceptance or publication.
Authors are responsible for ensuring that manuscripts comply with the Journal's current Guidelines for Authors and applicable ethical and legal requirements.
By submitting a manuscript, the submitting/corresponding author represents, to the best of their knowledge and subject to the Journal's specific policies, that:
- the submitted work is original or appropriately identifies and attributes material derived from other sources;
- all individuals listed as authors satisfy the Journal's applicable authorship criteria;
- all authors have approved the manuscript and its submission, where required;
- appropriate ethical approval, informed consent, clinical trial registration or other regulatory permissions have been obtained where applicable;
- conflicts of interest and relevant sources of funding have been appropriately disclosed;
- third-party copyrighted material has been used with appropriate permission or lawful authority where required;
- the manuscript does not knowingly contain fabricated, falsified, manipulated or unlawfully obtained data;
- confidential or personally identifiable information has been handled in accordance with applicable ethical and legal requirements; and
- the submission complies with the Journal's policies regarding duplicate, redundant or simultaneous publication.
The corresponding author is responsible for communications with the Journal and for ensuring, where applicable, that co-authors are appropriately informed of material decisions concerning the manuscript.
No Guarantee of Acceptance or Publication
Submission of a manuscript, payment of any applicable fee, completion of peer review, receipt of reviewer comments, or communication from the editorial office does not by itself create a right to publication.
Editorial decisions are made in accordance with the Journal's editorial and peer-review policies.
The Journal reserves the right to reject, request revision of, decline to process, withdraw, correct, retract, or otherwise take appropriate editorial action concerning a manuscript or published article where justified under its policies and recognised publication-ethics principles.
No person should represent a manuscript as accepted until formal acceptance has been communicated through an authorised IJAMPH channel.
Editorial Independence and Peer Review
Editorial decisions shall be made in accordance with the Journal's published editorial policies and scholarly considerations relevant to the manuscript.
The Publisher shall not guarantee a favourable editorial decision in exchange for payment, sponsorship, advertising, commercial relationship, or any other improper consideration.
Peer-review reports, editorial correspondence and unpublished manuscripts are confidential to the extent provided by the Journal's policies and applicable law.
Authors, reviewers and editors must respect the confidentiality and integrity of the peer-review process.
Attempts to improperly influence reviewers, editors, editorial decisions or the peer-review process may result in rejection, suspension of processing, investigation or other appropriate action.
Publication Ethics and Research Integrity
IJAMPH is committed to maintaining appropriate standards of publication ethics and research integrity.
The Journal may investigate suspected:
- plagiarism;
- duplicate or redundant publication;
- fabricated or falsified data;
- inappropriate image manipulation;
- unethical research;
- undisclosed competing interests;
- authorship manipulation or disputes;
- citation manipulation;
- peer-review manipulation;
- impersonation;
- fraudulent documentation;
- breach of patient confidentiality;
- failure to obtain required consent or ethical approval; or
- other forms of research or publication misconduct.
Where appropriate, the Journal may request supporting documentation or explanations and may contact authors, reviewers, editors, institutions, ethics committees, research-integrity offices, funders or other appropriate bodies in accordance with applicable law and recognised publication-ethics procedures.
Depending upon the circumstances and the stage of publication, editorial action may include rejection, correction, retraction, expression of concern, or another action consistent with the Journal's published policies.
Authorship
Authors must comply with the authorship and contributorship criteria adopted by IJAMPH.
Individuals who do not satisfy applicable authorship criteria should not be listed as authors solely because of their position, seniority, supervision, financial contribution or other non-qualifying involvement.
Requests to add, remove or rearrange authors after submission may require written agreement from the affected authors and satisfactory justification in accordance with the Journal's policies.
The Journal may decline an authorship change or investigate the circumstances where an authorship request raises ethical or integrity concerns.
Human and Animal Research
Authors are responsible for ensuring that research involving human participants, identifiable human data, human biological material or animals complies with applicable ethical standards, institutional requirements and laws.
Where required, authors must obtain appropriate ethics committee/institutional review approval and informed consent before conducting or publishing the research.
Authors must protect patient and participant confidentiality.
The Journal may request copies or other evidence of ethics approvals, informed consent, trial registration or other relevant documentation when reasonably required to verify compliance.
Copyright and Licensing
Copyright ownership and licensing of scholarly articles published by IJAMPH shall be governed by the copyright/licensing terms applicable to the relevant article and by the Journal's current Copyright and Open Access Policy.
Authors retain or grant rights according to the applicable publication agreement and licence in force for their article.
Users wishing to reproduce, distribute, adapt or otherwise reuse published content must comply with the licence displayed with that content and provide attribution where required.
Nothing in these Terms grants users any rights beyond those provided by:
- the applicable open-access licence;
- the express written permission of the relevant rights holder; or
- rights otherwise available under applicable law.
Third-party content contained within an article may be subject to separate copyright or licensing restrictions even where the article itself is distributed under an open licence.
Website Intellectual Property
Unless otherwise stated, the Website's design, branding, logos, journal name presentation, databases, software, graphical elements, original website text and other proprietary website materials are owned by or licensed to VJ Publications and are protected by applicable intellectual-property laws.
The open-access licence applicable to an individual scholarly article should not be interpreted as automatically licensing the Journal's trademarks, logos, website design, software, database structure or other separately protected Publisher assets.
No person may use the IJAMPH or VJ Publications name, logo, branding or other identifying material in a manner that falsely suggests endorsement, sponsorship, affiliation or partnership.
User-Submitted Material
Users may submit manuscripts, supplementary files, reviewer reports, comments, correspondence and other material through the Services.
Users retain rights in their material except to the extent otherwise agreed under an applicable publication or licensing agreement.
By submitting material to the Journal, users grant the Journal and Publisher such limited rights as are reasonably necessary to receive, store, reproduce internally, process, evaluate, peer review, edit, communicate about, preserve and, where accepted and appropriately licensed, publish and disseminate that material.
This provision does not override the copyright or licensing terms governing a published article.
Artificial Intelligence and Automated Tools
Authors, reviewers and editors are responsible for complying with any IJAMPH policy concerning the use of artificial intelligence, machine-learning systems, generative AI and automated tools.
The use of such tools does not transfer responsibility for accuracy, originality, confidentiality, attribution, research integrity or compliance away from the human author, reviewer or editor.
Users must not upload confidential manuscripts, peer-review materials, personal data or other protected information to external artificial-intelligence systems where doing so would breach confidentiality, applicable law, contractual obligations or Journal policy.
Where disclosure of AI-assisted activity is required by the Journal, users must provide such disclosure accurately.
Publication Charges and Payments
Where publication or other charges apply, the applicable fees, payment requirements and related conditions shall be those communicated or published by the Journal.
Payment of a fee does not guarantee acceptance or publication of a manuscript.
Authors remain responsible for providing accurate billing and payment information.
Any waiver, discount, refund or cancellation shall be governed by the Journal's applicable policy and the circumstances of the relevant transaction.
The Journal reserves the right to correct genuine billing or administrative errors.
Corrections, Retractions and Post-Publication Action
Publication does not prevent subsequent editorial action.
If material errors, ethical concerns, research-integrity issues or other circumstances requiring correction of the scholarly record are identified after publication, IJAMPH may issue an appropriate correction, retraction, expression of concern or other notice in accordance with its editorial policies and recognised publication-ethics principles.
Where appropriate, published notices may remain permanently associated with the scholarly record.
Complaints and Appeals
Authors, reviewers, readers and other affected persons may submit legitimate complaints or appeals concerning editorial processes, publication ethics or Journal operations through the contact channels designated by IJAMPH.
Complaints and appeals should provide sufficient information to allow the matter to be evaluated.
The Journal may decline to process abusive, threatening, repeatedly duplicative, manifestly frivolous or bad-faith communications, subject to applicable law.
Editorial complaints or appeals do not automatically require reversal of an editorial decision.
Acceptable Use
Users must not use the Website or Services to:
- violate applicable law or another person's legal rights;
- upload malware, malicious code or harmful material;
- attempt unauthorised access to accounts, servers, databases or systems;
- interfere with Website security or normal operation;
- conduct unauthorised automated scraping, harvesting or extraction that materially interferes with the Services or violates applicable rights;
- manipulate peer review, citations, authorship or editorial processes;
- submit fraudulent or knowingly misleading information;
- impersonate authors, reviewers, editors, institutions or other persons;
- obtain or disclose confidential manuscripts or peer-review information without authority;
- use the Website to transmit unlawful, defamatory, threatening or malicious content; or
- falsely represent an association with IJAMPH or VJ Publications.
The Journal may take reasonable technical, administrative or legal measures in response to suspected misuse.
Medical and Professional Disclaimer
Content published by IJAMPH is intended primarily for scholarly, research, educational and informational purposes.
Published content does not constitute personalised medical advice, diagnosis, treatment, prescription, or a substitute for consultation with an appropriately qualified healthcare professional.
Clinical decisions should not be based solely upon material appearing on the Website. Healthcare professionals remain responsible for exercising their own professional judgment and verifying information, including drug dosages, contraindications, procedures, guidelines and clinical recommendations, before applying it in practice.
Patients and members of the public should consult appropriately qualified healthcare professionals concerning individual medical conditions or treatment decisions.
Accuracy of Published Content
The Journal takes reasonable measures through editorial and peer-review processes to promote the quality and integrity of published material. However, scholarly publishing inherently involves interpretation, uncertainty and the possibility of error.
Unless otherwise stated, views, conclusions and opinions expressed in individual articles are those of their respective authors and do not necessarily represent the views of IJAMPH, its Publisher, editors, reviewers, affiliated institutions or staff.
The Journal does not warrant that every statement, conclusion, data point, citation or recommendation appearing in published material is error-free, complete or suitable for every purpose.
Nothing in this clause limits the Journal's commitment to correcting the scholarly record where appropriate.
Third-Party Links and Services
The Website may contain links to external websites, databases, DOI services, indexing services, repositories, institutions or other third-party resources.
Such links may be provided for convenience, citation, verification or scholarly reference.
Unless expressly stated otherwise, the presence of a link does not constitute endorsement, sponsorship or control of the third-party website or service.
IJAMPH and VJ Publications are not responsible for the availability, security, privacy practices, accuracy or content of independent third-party websites.
Users should review the applicable terms and privacy policies of those services.
Privacy and Personal Data
Personal information collected through the Website shall be handled in accordance with the Journal's Privacy Statement and applicable data-protection law.
Users should review the Privacy Statement for information concerning categories of personal data collected, purposes of processing, data retention, security, user rights, cookies and contact information.
Users submitting personal information concerning co-authors, reviewers, research participants or other individuals are responsible for ensuring that they have an appropriate lawful basis or authority to provide that information where required.
Website Security
The Publisher takes reasonable measures intended to protect the Website and information processed through it.
However, no Internet-based system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, uninterrupted or free from malicious activity.
Users are responsible for maintaining reasonable security over their own devices, credentials and accounts and should promptly notify the Journal if they reasonably suspect unauthorised access to their account.
Website Availability
The Journal aims to maintain reliable access to its Website and Services but does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free availability.
Access may be temporarily restricted or interrupted because of maintenance, upgrades, technical failures, security incidents, hosting failures, telecommunications problems, force majeure events or circumstances outside the reasonable control of the Publisher.
Where practicable, reasonable efforts may be made to restore affected Services.
Disclaimer of Warranties
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, the Website and Services are provided on an “as available” basis.
The Journal and Publisher do not make warranties beyond those that cannot lawfully be excluded, including warranties that:
- the Website will always be uninterrupted or error-free;
- every item of published content will be completely accurate or current;
- the Website will meet every user's particular requirements; or
- external websites or services linked from IJAMPH will remain available or secure.
Nothing in these Terms excludes any warranty, right or remedy that cannot lawfully be excluded or restricted.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, IJAMPH, VJ Publications and their respective editors, reviewers, officers, employees and authorised representatives shall not be liable for indirect, incidental, special or consequential losses arising solely from use of, inability to use, or reliance upon the Website or its content, except where such liability cannot lawfully be excluded.
Users remain responsible for independently evaluating information before relying upon it for clinical, research, financial, legal, commercial or other material decisions.
Nothing in these Terms excludes or limits liability where exclusion or limitation is prohibited by applicable law.
Indemnity
To the extent permitted by applicable law, a user who knowingly or unlawfully violates these Terms, infringes third-party rights, or submits material that the user had no lawful authority to submit may be responsible for losses, claims, liabilities or reasonable costs directly resulting from that conduct.
This provision shall not apply to the extent that liability results from the negligence, wilful misconduct or unlawful conduct of the Journal or Publisher, or where such indemnification is prohibited by applicable law.
Suspension or Termination of Access
The Journal may restrict, suspend or terminate access to registered Services where reasonably necessary because of:
- material violation of these Terms;
- suspected fraud or impersonation;
- threats to Website or account security;
- manipulation of the editorial or peer-review process;
- unlawful use of the Services; or
- other serious misconduct affecting the Journal, its users or the integrity of the scholarly record.
Where appropriate and practicable, the Journal may provide notice or an opportunity for clarification.
Termination of an account does not necessarily remove material already lawfully published as part of the scholarly record.
Preservation of the Scholarly Record
Published scholarly material may need to remain available as part of the permanent academic record even where an author later requests account deletion or removal of personal information.
Requests affecting published scholarly records will be considered in accordance with applicable law, publication-ethics principles and the Journal's correction, retraction and privacy policies.
Where removal of an article is not appropriate, correction, retraction, anonymisation or another suitable mechanism may be considered where justified.
Changes to These Terms
IJAMPH and VJ Publications may revise these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in:
- applicable law or regulation;
- publishing standards;
- Journal policies;
- technology or security requirements;
- Website functionality; or
- operational requirements.
The current version will be published on the Website together with its effective or last-updated date.
Changes will ordinarily operate prospectively unless applicable law, research-integrity requirements or the protection of the scholarly record requires otherwise.
Continued use of the Services after revised Terms become effective constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms to the extent permitted by applicable law.
Severability
If any provision of these Terms is determined by a court or other competent authority to be invalid, unlawful or unenforceable, that provision shall, to the extent permitted by law, be interpreted or limited so as to preserve its intended effect as far as reasonably possible.
The remaining provisions shall continue in effect.
No Waiver
Failure by IJAMPH or VJ Publications to enforce a provision of these Terms on a particular occasion shall not constitute a permanent waiver of that provision or of the right to enforce it subsequently.
Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms shall be governed by and interpreted in accordance with the laws of India, without prejudice to any mandatory rights or protections available under applicable law.
Subject to applicable law and any mandatory jurisdictional requirements, disputes arising out of or relating to these Terms, the Website or the Services shall be subject to the jurisdiction of the competent courts having territorial jurisdiction over Karaikal, Puducherry, India.
Nothing in this provision prevents the parties from attempting to resolve a dispute amicably before commencing formal proceedings.
Entire Agreement and Policy Relationship
These Terms, together with the applicable Journal policies and any specific agreement entered into between the Journal/Publisher and an author or other user, constitute the applicable terms governing use of the Services.
Where a separately executed author publishing agreement or other specific written agreement expressly governs a particular matter, that agreement shall govern that matter to the extent of any inconsistency with these general Website Terms.
